Processing Batches

The Authorize.net module utilizes recurring batch management, built in to the script. In order for the batches to be built on the anniversary of the billing date, you must be running the cron jobs explained in the ‘ Cron Jobs ‘ area of the manual.

From the main page in admin, you can access your Authorize.net batches from the General Admin links area.

Once inside, you will see a menu list similar to the one below ( without the green numbers)

1.    View Open Batch

a.    All batches built by the script on the cron job will normally fall in here for processing.

2.    View Declined Batch

a.    Any batches or orders that failed during processing will fall into this location. If a clients card was declined due to balance or other items, and requests it to be reprocessed, you can do so from this area as well.

3.    View Error Batch

a.    Errors are not exactly declines but are when batches have errors such as missing data, AVS failures, etc. Once corrected, the batch can be reprocessed from this area.

4.    Completed Batch History

a.    This is a listing of ALL successful batches processed from within your management area.

Each batch will have four (4) areas of detail.

1.    The ability to edit the batch details such as user information or putting in a new credit card for that client.

2.    The domain name that the batch is for.

3.    The date the batch is due/created. This may be a future date for those with reminders set to more than 1 day before the due date since batches are built the same day the reminders are sent out.

4.    The amount of the batch being processed.

Batches are processed in real-time upon clicking the process button from within the management area. Be sure to click the check box next to the batches you wish to process and click ‘ process ‘

You will get results, on screen and via email pertaining to the batch that is being processed.
